You’ve heard about Race for Life. It’s been around since 1994 as a single event. Now, well, it’s the largest series of women-only fundraising events in the UK. Fact.
Since it began, an incredible 5.4 million participants across the UK have raised over £362 million to fund Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
They need that cash too. Every year, Cancer Research UK spends hundreds of millions on research into diagnosing, preventing and treating cancer. They’re the biggest single independent funder of cancer research in Europe, supporting the work of around 4,800 scientists, doctors and nurses.
One day you, or someone you know will be grateful. Research saves lives. Look at this: cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years and the work of Cancer Research UK has been at the heart of that progress.
