Are you doing it? Or sharing the moment by the roadside? Either way, it’s a great day. This year, the Bupa Great Birmingham Run is back for a second year. It’s the biggest half marathon in the Midlands; and one they used to call the Birmingham Half-marathon in the olden days.
Around 15,000 runners took part last year. Of course, many of them pushing themselves to raise money for causes close to their hearts. That’s why they raised thousands of pounds for a host of good reasons.
Where are they running on Sunday? The course takes in some of our City’s best sights including Bullring, Cadbury World, and Edgbaston Cricket Club. We like this too: there’s live music from ‘band on the run’ to keep you motivated every step of the way. Then at the end, hundreds of supporters cheering finishers across the line on Broad Street, near Free Radio HQ. We’ll hear those cheers – hopefully some for our own intrepid runners including the impeccable Russ Morris.

Taking part this year? Let us know and tell us which charity you’ll be raising money for below.
We’ll be out snapping. You may not see us as on the day – as frankly you’ll have other things on your mind. Come back here after the event maybe to see a familiar pic.
