Birmingham Sky Ride

bike ride

Six-and-a-half miles of roads in Birmingham are closed-off to cars today to make way for cyclists.

The annual Sky Ride gives people a chance to have a go at cycling around the city without worrying about traffic.

It’s free to take part and you can ride for as long as you like; there’s no start or finish point.

The cycle route is closed to traffic from 10am until 4pm. Roads include those surrounding the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston Park Road and Calthorpe Road. You can check the full route here.
