Police have launched a murder investigation after a businessman died after falling from stairs outside his gym in Northfield.
The 38-year-old man died in hospital on 21st July following an incident on Monday 9 July.
He was found with serious head and spinal injuries beneath a two-storey raised walkway, leading to the Dark Arts Gym on Bristol Road.
Detectives have renewed their appeal for vital witnesses to come forward and they think the man was looked after by a passer-by before the ambulance arrived.
Detective Constable Paul Read, from Force CID, said: “Almost two weeks on from the incident and we continue to work hard to establish what happened in the moments leading up to the fall that has ultimately resulted in this man’s death.
“If we and his family are to understand what happened that night, we need those good Samaritans’ who fought to save his life to contact us.”
A 48-year-old man, also from the Northfield area of South Birmingham, has been charged with wounding was remanded in custody.
On 10th July, a 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was later bailed pending police enquiries.
