Man Banned from Coventry Pubs

A man has been banned from pubs and clubs in Coventry city centre after bragging about hitting a man on twitter.

Karl Orman was arrested by officers following an unprovoked attack in August.

In the early hours Orman was in S7VEN nightclub when without warning he head butted a 22-year-old man.

Drinkers who witnessed the attack informed the club’s security staff who detained Orman and handed him over to officers.

The 19-year-old was arrested and charged with this assault.

As part of their enquiries officers discovered that shortly after the first attack Orman had bragged on Twitter how he ‘threw a Judas’ – a slang expression for punching someone to the back of the head.

He was given a 12 month drink banning order which will stop him from entering any licensed premises within Coventry city centre.

He was also sentenced to a 12 month supervision order, 200 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £100 compensation to each of the victims and £85 in court costs.
