A Coventry man’s been charged over a hoax call to police which led to part of Birmingham being closed-off.
Armed officers surrounded flats on Forth Drive in Chelmsley Wood on on Saturday 7 April.
They’d had reports that a man armed with a gun was threatening to shoot people inside the building and a major police operation was launched.
The report turned-out to be false and the call was traced to the Coventry area.
A 43-year-old man’s now been charged with wasting police time.
