Wolverhampton Murder Appeal

Uberra Nightclub

The family of a Wolverhampton man who was stabbed to death outside a nightclub have made an emotional appeal for information.

Thomas Kirwan was stabbed multiple times in the chest outside Uberra Nightclub, which used to be the Canal Club, in the early hours of Sunday 8th July and he died later in hospital.

He was with a group of friends at the club but it’s believed there was a fight inside and after they were asked to leave, another altercation began outside.

The 23-year-old’s mother Emer and his girlfriend Jade Elwell made this heartfelt appeal at a press conference:

Thomas, who was a Wolves fan and worked at Bridgnorth Aluminium, was due to marry Jade, 21, next year. He was planning to join the Territorial Army.

Over 30 officers are working on the murder investigation and police say they know 600 people were in the club on Saturday night into Sunday morning and they’re still trying to speak to many of them.
