Hursty & Helen

Hursty is mischievous. Helen is settled. The English Rose meets the lad down the road. You get the idea. If you wake up in Herefordshire or Worcestershire, you really should have this pair on. They know what it's like living round here.

Where did this Bank Holiday come from?

Has this long weekend kind of come out of nowhere for you? The weather’s not helping at the moment with Saturday expected to be the best out of the three. Course a lot of us are choosing to work, time and a half and all that! Make hay whilst the sun (doesn’t) shine!

We’ll see how Becky Hill from Kidderminster gets on in BBC1′s TheVoice, she had a week off last week but now that it’s Jessie J’s team vs Danny’s team, all their contestants are singing to stay in the comp. BGT goes into overdrive for next week, with the finals almost upon us. Big day for Chelsea and Liverpool fans on Saturday as they head to Wembley for the FA Cup Final at Wembley – Roy Hodgson’s new place of work after being confirmed as the new England manager. Wonder what West Brom will do now?

Helen was saying this morning that she might escape to the supermarket this weekend, just to get out of the house! Great to hear from you that you’ll settle for places like the car boot or garden centre as well – sometimes ANYWHERE is better than the house when the kids are going nuts with boredom!

Cinema’s always a good idea, the new American Pie film is out plus Jason Statham is back in ‘Safe’ – not gonna tell you the plot, you’ll guess it…see our Facebook page for a hot snap of him! If like us you love seeing the trailers as much as the film itself, check out the new Spiderman movie for this summer…looks slick!

We’re back Tuesday remember, making the most of the Bank Holiday that has started quiet, but is sure to turn manic!

Your weekend...

So another week down, and typically with the holidays it’s flown by (even making a loud bang in the process!!)

Loads on the cards this weekend that has caught our eye…first off, good luck again to everyone doing the Worcester Marathon or Half Marathon for St Richard’s Hospice on Sunday, starting and finishing at Sixways Stadium!

Also MASSIVE game for Hereford United tonight, against Barnet who are sitting at the bottom of the table with them. A win could kickstart a late push to beat the drop, very nervous Bulls fans around at the moment.

We’ll be watching the usual TV bits this weekend, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice – keep an eye on our twitter @HurstyandHelen and join in some banter…oh, and saw this vid from The Voice that made us chuckle…

Expect a review of that film about Pirates and Scientists on Monday’s after Helen takes the kids to see it…don’t expect a review anytime soon of Battleship though, as even the thought of Rihanna in combat gear isn’t enough to tempt Hursty to the pictures.

Finally, as you might have noticed, Hursty’s been a bit on the croaky side this week (insert your own frog gag here!) so he’s resting his throat next week with Tom Newitt and David Francis keeping Helen (and you) entertained in his place. Do though keep an eye on his twitter @FMHursty as he attempts an entire week without speaking to ANYONE! Got the word FAIL written all over it!

Have a good weekend and give us any good weekend news on the facebook page, Hursty and Helen in the Morning.

Man News

Good news – good looking men in the news this week include Tom Hardy who got himself invited to Legoland Windsor for a freebie look around, Ashton Kutcher who’s bought a place on the Virgin Galactic ride to space AND Harry Judd, doing his strictly thing UNDERWATER for Sport Relief.

Fireworks, Please!

We’re really hoping for  more fireworks on this year’s Apprentice – remember last year with the girls at eachothers throats whilst the boys got on with it?

Up or Down?

When you go to London, do you tell people you’re going UP to London or DOWN to London – down isn’t it?

May be a lil bit picky, but come on? A couple of people reckon (Steve & Pennie) that wherever you are in the country, you travel up to London cos it’s the capital?

Although one text from Aaron said if you go on the train, you go UP because the trainlines go up! (you know when you wish you’d never brought something up??)
